Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Lisa Amy (Embodied Clarity Coaching)
Effective Date: 05/02/2026
Who we are. Lisa Amy (we/us) is an Australian coach offering Embodied Clarity Coaching services via lisaamy.com. We respect your privacy and comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, including the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The APPs govern how personal information is collected, used and disclosed. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect. When you use our website or contact us, we may collect personal details you provide, such as your name, email, phone number, and other contact or profile information. For example:
- Contact/Inquiry
Form: If you fill in a contact form, we collect your name and email so
we can respond to your message.
- Coaching
Application Form: If you apply for coaching, we may ask for additional
details (e.g. goals, background) to assess your needs.
- Payments:
If you purchase a service or product, payment is handled through Stripe (a
secure third-party payment processor). Stripe collects your card or
account details, but we do not see or store your credit card
number. We only receive confirmation of payments and necessary billing
information from Stripe.
- Booking/Calendar Tool: We use a third-party scheduling system (e.g. Calendly or similar). When you book a coaching session, that service may collect your name, email, and appointment details to manage the booking.
All such information is collected directly from you (you choose to submit it) and is stored securely. We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, race, religion) except with your explicit consent, and only if needed for our services.
How we use your information. We use the data you provide for these purposes: responding to your inquiries, providing coaching services, processing payments, and scheduling sessions. Specifically:
- Customer
Service: To answer your questions and support your coaching process.
- Payment
and Billing: To process your coaching payments via Stripe (in
Australian dollars). Stripe’s privacy policy applies to how it handles
your payment data.
- Scheduling:
To confirm and remind you of bookings.
- Newsletters/Marketing
(optional): If you sign up for our mailing list or explicitly opt in,
we may send you occasional updates or offers. You can unsubscribe at any
time. We will never share your contact information with unrelated third
parties for marketing without your consent.
We will not use your personal information for any purpose unrelated to these functions. We do not sell or rent your personal data to marketers.
Cookies and Analytics. Our site may use cookies or similar tracking tools to improve your experience. For example, we use Google Analytics to understand site usage patterns. Google states that it “uses a set of cookies to collect information on behalf of businesses… to report site usage statistics… without personally identifying individual visitors”. You can disable cookies in your browser if you wish, though some site features may then be unavailable.
Third-party services. We employ third-party tools that may collect or handle your data:
- Stripe
(Payments): Stripe processes payments and collects payment
information. We encourage you to review Stripe’s privacy policy for
details on how they use data.
- Booking/Calendar
Platform: The scheduling service may store your contact and
appointment details to manage your bookings.
- Email
System: If you sign up for newsletters, we use an email service
provider to send and track emails (who may use your email for this purpose
only).
- Product
Links (Amazon): We link to our self-published planner/journal on
Amazon. Any purchase on Amazon is processed entirely by Amazon and subject
to Amazon’s policies – we do not receive your payment or shipping details,
and are not responsible for Amazon’s products or service.
Disclosure to others. We will not share your personal information with unrelated third parties except as needed to run our business. We do share data with the above service providers (e.g. Stripe, scheduling, email) as necessary. Each of these providers acts under our instruction and must comply with privacy laws. If required by law (e.g. a court order) or to prevent fraud or harm, we may disclose your information to authorities.
International transfers. We serve clients globally. Your data may be stored or processed outside Australia (for example, on overseas servers of our service providers). Australian privacy law (APPs) generally does not ban cross-border transfers. In fact, “there are no broad requirements for data residency or cross-border data transfers in Australia”. Nevertheless, we will take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely by any overseas recipient.
Data security. We take reasonable measures to protect your information (such as password protection and encryption of data in transit). However, no system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm to you, we will notify the Australian Information Commissioner and affected individuals as required by the Notifiable Data Breach scheme.
Your rights. You have a right to access and correct your personal information. If your contact details or other data are incorrect or if you want to see what information we hold, please contact us (details below). We will respond promptly. You may also request that we erase your data, subject to any legal requirements (for example, we may need to retain billing records for tax purposes).
Policy updates. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if we change a service provider). The version on our website is the current one, and it will include the “Effective Date” at the top. Continued use of our site after changes indicates you accept the updated policy.
Contact us. If you have any questions or complaints
about privacy, please contact Lisa Amy at [email protected]. We are
committed to resolving any issues and will respond in a timely manner.
